Just a quick note to say that the Border Criminologies blog will be taking a break over the rest of August as we are variously: in the field (Sarah T), on maternity leave (Ines H), taking up a new position at Staffordshire University (Blerina K), and moving house (Mary B), or on holiday (all of the above). In September, we will be welcoming our new Leverhulme Administrator, Andriani Fili, who will be replacing Blerina Kellezi. We will also be launching Mary’s new book, about which we have begun tweeting, and planning the new academic year of activities.

We are looking forward to co-hosting talks by Efrat Arbel and Deborah Anker, Jennifer Chacon, and Allison Mountz. We will also be moving forward with the SSRN Criminal Justice, Borders and Citizenship Research Paper Series and with the Immigration Detention Archive. In February 2015, the Leverhulme Network will hold its first seminar at Monash University, Australia. As ever we will be welcoming posts about research on the intersections between border control and criminal justice, as well as writing about our own projects. If you have an idea for a post, please get in touch with us.

Until then, happy summer holidays!
