Call for papers: 7th Workshop on Comparative Business and Financial Law

The Younger Comparativists Committee ('YCC') of the American Society of Comparative Law ('ASCL') is pleased to invite submissions for its Seventh Workshop on Comparative Business and Financial Law, which will be held on August 27–28, 2026, at Nanyang Business School ('NBS'), Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore). The workshop aims to highlight, develop, and promote the scholarship of new and younger comparativists in accounting, banking, bankruptcy, corporations, commercial law, economics, finance, and securities. The previous iteration of the workshop was hosted by the College of Law of National Taiwan University in May 2025.
The 2026 workshop will take place at Wee Cho Yaw Plaza, NTU Singapore’s Yunnan Garden campus.
Up to ten (10) papers will be chosen from those submitted for presentation at the workshop pursuant to this Call for Papers. The workshop audience will include invited younger scholars, faculty from NBS, law schools in Singapore and the region, and invited guests.
Submissions will only be accepted from scholars who have held a full-time academic appointment for no more than ten (10) years as of June 30, 2026.
The Call for Papers is open through 11:59 P.M. EDT, 5 June 2026. Invitees will be selected via blind review by the workshop Program Committee and authors of the submissions selected for the workshop will be notified no later than 26 June 2026. Final papers for the workshop will be due no later than 2 August 2026.
