LSE Financial Law and Regulation Conference 2023: Call for Papers

The organisers would like to invite papers to be presented at the second ‘Financial Law and Regulation Conference 2023’, which will take place on September 12th and 13th, 2023 at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). This will be an in-person event and its focus will be on academic research with contributions from regulators, practitioners, and policymakers.

The organisers would like to invite papers to be presented at the conference on the following themes:

• Regulatory Competition and Regulatory Cooperation;
• Digitising Securities and Digital Assets;
• Fintech (market structure);
• Culture in Financial Regulation;
• ESG in Domestic and International Financial/Monetary Law; and
• Developments in Systemic Risk.

Sessions will run in a panel format and those interested in presenting their work should submit either a working draft, a recently published paper, or an extended abstract by email to law.conferences@lse.ac.uk by Monday 17th April, 2023.

The organisers will select papers, which will form part of a more general discussion within each session. Authors of accepted submissions will receive a notification by May 26th, 2023 and will have to confirm their participation by June 30th, 2023. If your extended abstract is selected, you will be required to submit a working paper by Friday 1st September, 2023.

LSE will cover reasonable travel and accommodation expenses for selected speakers.

Elizabeth Howell is an Assistant Professor of Law at LSE, School of Law

Andreas Kokkinis is an Associate Professor and Head of Postgraduate Research at University of Birmingham, School of Law

Federico Lupo-Pasini is an Associate Professor in Commercial and Corporate Law at Durham University, School of Law

Eva Micheler is a Professor of Law at LSE, School of Law

Philipp Paech is an Associate Professor of Law at LSE, School of Law
