Solidarity Not Separation: The Case for Continued Interaction Between UK and EU Law to Further Equal Rights

Sandra Fredman evaluates the extent to which European Union law has protected the rights of women and argues that leaving the European Union may erode the protection of effective remedies for  equality and anti-discrimination rights. She concludes that the biggest potential problem for the protection of the rights of women following Brexit is that 'we will undermine the solidarity which is essential for women everywhere to make progress'.
