Claire is an organisational consultant and executive coach who draws on over 20 years experience as a senior City lawyer, strategy consultant and senior public sector official. Claire’s consulting work focuses on working with organisations and individuals to identify and resolve business effectiveness issues relating to organisational dynamics.

  • a legal career is no longer a linear/ one directional experience: there is life beyond the traditional law firm and bar: over 30% of solicitors are now in house.
  • non-traditional roles, in house opportunities and alternative business models are providing alternative options for those for whom the traditional single career track is no longer attractive.
  • law may be just one phase in a wider career built on a number of different experiences. • law firms are now competing with these “alternative” career options to retain their future partners.
  • leaving a career in law should not be a default reaction to rejecting a traditional legal career path but….your career is an accumulation of experiences. Law may just be one part of a wider set of roles.
